For Immediate Release:

uDrove Humanitarian Bowl

Rock 'n Bowl Week

“You gotta be tough to play here.”

December 13th-18th

Boise, ID - The 2010 uDrove Humanitarian Bowl is proud to present its second annual Rock ‘n Bowl Week, a community festival of events surrounding the bowl game in downtown Boise featuring local businesses, artists and entertainment during the week of the Humanitarian Bowl, Dec. 13 - 18. Our mission is to celebrate and share our unique culture by highlighting some of the best Boise has to offer while raising money for a local non-profit. The 2010 beneficiaries of Rock 'n Bowl Week are local non-profit, Commit 65, and local filmmaker, Gregory Bayne!

Monday, December 13th- Join us for our Launch Party at the Linen Building for an ALL AGES event starting at 6 p.m. Featured performances include Boise Rock School, CastleRock Strings and an aerial dance performance by Phoenix Rising. Guests will be greeted by infamous local bloggers, Wendie Gone Feral and BoredinBoise, with EchoBase Video covering our red carpet to create the Rock 'n Bowl VIP video and photo slide show. The event includes a silent auction held to benefit Commit 65.

Tuesday, December 14th- Join us at one of the latest new additions to Boise’s 8th and Idaho, Fatty’s Bar. Bring your beer pong skills at 10 p.m. and possibly walk away with uDrove Humanitarian Bowl tickets and $300 in your pocket. But even if you don’t walk away with a prize, your pockets won’t be empty with so many drink specials going on.

If beer pong isn’t your thing, Ophidia Studios and Boise's Twitter community invite you to a “Tron” themed costume party from 8-11 p.m. to celebrate the release of “Tron Legacy,” the sequel. We hope to see costumes as visually stunning as the 80's Disney classic and its sequel. This party is sure to get a glowing review! Strut your stuff on the red carpet with Wendie Gone Feral and EchoBase Video for a night you won’t soon forget. The event will benefit local film maker Gregory Bayne to help finish production of his film Jens Pulver | Driven.

Thursday, December 16th- Come compete in our karaoke contest at Hannah's, starting at 7 p.m. Contestants must have a uDrove Humanitarian Rock 'n Bowl wristband to participate, and the first 10 people to sign up will receive 2 tickets to the uDrove Humanitarian Bowl. EchoBase Video and Wendie Gone Feral will be joining us again to blog about and record the contest. The performances will be posted on the Rock ‘n Bowl Boise blog so everyone can vote for their favorite karaoke singer. A winner will be announced Saturday morning, December 18th, and will receive two VIP sideline passes to the Northern Illinois University vs. Fresno State football game.

Friday, December 17th- A special screening of JENS PULVER | DRIVEN - A FILM BY GREGORY BAYNE will be held on Friday, December 17th, at the Egyptian Theatre in downtown Boise. Buy your wristband to recieve $2 off the $12 ticket price at the box office. We will donate 20% of all wristbands sales from this link will be donated to Gregory Bayne to help distribute the film. The wristband also grants admission to the “Driven” after party at Cazba featuring DJ Patrick Benolkin who wrote and produced the “Driven” Motion Picture Soundtrack.

Saturday, December 18th- Join us at Liquid for the official uDrove Humanitarian Bowl AFTER PARTY where we will be celebrating the bowl game and the last evening of Rock ‘n Bowl Week. There will be drink specials for wristband holders and a performance from Duchess Down The Well.

Throughout the entire week there will be a “Battle of the Bands” contest at participating bars in downtown Boise. Fans vote for their favorite bands through donations to the band’s collection jar.
